Phang Nga Bay is a 400 km² bay in the Strait of Malacca between the island of Phuket and the mainland of the Malay peninsula of southern Thailand. Since 1981, an extensive section of the bay has been protected as the Ao Phang Nga National Park.
Actually, there are two of them, Racha Yai Island and Racha Noi Island. They are located 18 kilometers due south of Phuket Island. Both have crystal clear, turquoise blue water and good diving and snorkeling sites. Racha Yai Island is closest to Phuket. It has two wonderful powdery white sand beaches, and a rugged, hilly interior. It is moderately developed, having some bars and bungalows, although the tourist scene is dominated primarily by the Racha Resort Hotel. It is inhabited primarily by Muslim farmers and fisherman.
This tiny island of Phuket's southeast coast is highly prized for its still perfect natural environment, including fine white beaches and crystal waters; ideal for swimming, diving, or fishing. The only business of any kind is the plush Maiton Island Resort. Those not wishing to stay overnight may take a daytime excursion leaving from Makham Bay Deep Sea Port.
Coral Island, also known as Hey Island, is Phuket's southernmost islet around 10 kilometers offshore and one of the most popular tourist attractions. Thanks to its fine white sand and the clear turquoise sea, the island has become an ultimate tourist destination for leisure activities and sunbathing.
Khai Islands Located approximately 14 kilometers off Phuket, the Khai Islands comprise three islands, namely Khai Nai Island, Khai Nok Island, and Khai Nui Island. All of which are perfect for diving and coral reef exploration and boast white sand beaches as well as turquoise seas.
